Maintenance The key to prolonging the life of your spa is periodic maintenance and cleaning. Just taking a few easy steps on a routine basis will ensure your OutBack Spa a long, service-free life. Basic Spa Maintenance |
 | To ensure that your water is being filtered properly, you should clean the spa filter at least every five to six weeks (this may vary slightly, based on spa usage). Keeping your filter dirt-free is easy and it’s the most effective way to keep your spa in first-class shape. | | | |
Use a filter degreaser solution to clean your filter. Soak the filter in the solution, following the guidelines included with the bottle, and then rinse it well with an ordinary garden hose. For uninterrupted spa fun, it’s a good idea to keep a second filter on hand. This allows you to change out the filter immediately and start your spa up again without missing a beat. Draining the spa every two to three months is also highly recommended. To drain your OutBack Spa, remove the screws from the cabinet panel door and follow the steps below: |
- Turn the power off
- Select a safe, suitable drainage area that is capable of safely assimilating 300-plus gallons of water. This may include both unsanitary contaminants and chemical residue that could harm plants or grass.
- Twist the drain fitting counter clockwise to open the valve.
- The spa will drain by gravity flow.
- Close the disconnect drain, fitting clockwise, to close the valve.
- Refill the spa through the filter before restoring the power.
